বিদ্যুৎ সাশ্রয়ে সারাদেশে দোকান ও বিপণিবিতান সন্ধ্যা ৭টায় বন্ধের নির্দেশ

বর্তমান বৈশ্বিক প্রেক্ষাপটে বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি সাশ্রয় এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট সংকট নিরসনের লক্ষ্যে সরকার সারাদেশের সকল দোকান ও বিপণিবিতান বন্ধের জন্য নতুন সময়সূচি নির্ধারণ করেছে।

শ্রম ও কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীন কলকারখানা ও প্রতিষ্ঠান পরিদর্শন অধিদপ্তর (ডাইফ) থেকে জারিকৃত এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে জানানো হয় যে, ৬ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগের জারিকৃত পত্রের নির্দেশনার আলোকে এই প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে।

প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশ শ্রম আইন, ২০০৬-এর ১১৪ ধারায় প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে সরকার এই মর্মে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছে যে, পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত সারাদেশে সকল দোকান ও বিপণিবিতান প্রতিদিন রাত ৮.০০ ঘটিকার পরিবর্তে সন্ধ্যা ৭.০০ ঘটিকার পর খোলা রাখা যাবে না।

এই নির্দেশনা জনস্বার্থে অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে বলে প্রজ্ঞাপনে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।

ডাইফ মহাপরিদর্শক (অতিরিক্ত সচিব) ওমর মোঃ ইমরুল মহসিন স্বাক্ষরিত প্রজ্ঞাপনটি সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল দপ্তর ও সংস্থায় প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে এবং ব্যাপক প্রচারের জন্য অনুরোধ জানানো হয়েছে।

Strategic Compliance Planning (SCP) Workshop Successfully Held

A three-day workshop on Strategic Compliance Planning (SCP) Piloting in Selected Sectors was successfully conducted in Manikganj from 7–9 March 2026 by the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, with support from ILO.

During the workshop, inspectors and officials developed region-based strategic compliance plans for selected priority sectors to strengthen labour inspection and improve compliance with labour laws and occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.

The participating Deputy Inspector General (DIG) offices prepared strategic plans for the following sectors:

• Mymensingh – Construction sector
• Chattogram – Re-rolling mills
• Khulna – Plastic and bakery industries
• Faridpur – Jute mills
• Rajshahi – Rice mills

These initiatives represent an important step toward adopting strategic and risk-based labour inspection approaches in Bangladesh, contributing to safer workplaces and improved labour standards.

The workshop brought together Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) from different DIG offices, Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and Labour Inspectors.

The programme was graced by Guest of Honour Neeran Ramjuthan, Programme Manager, ILO LAWC.

Among others, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan and Mst. Julia Jesmin, Joint Inspectors General of DIFE, attended the workshop.

Ron Johnson, Technical Specialist, ILO, and Borhan Uddin, Senior Programme Officer, ILO, also addressed the participants.
