Feni University (FU) started its journey from December 09, 2010 on project basis, after an informal meeting of some local elites having interest in higher education. Afterwards, it started formal contact with University Grants Commission (UGC) and Ministry of Education (MoE), and thus came into being as a Private University approved by the Government of Bangladesh and UGC in November 2012, under t

he Private University Act, 2010. FU Got Academic Recognition of UGC

As an institution of higher education, its aim is to promote and inculcate ethical standards, values and norms and flourish as a centre of excellence in higher education in the country. The primary mission of FU is to provide tertiary education at a reasonable cost upholding higher academic standard in a range of subjects that are relevant to current and anticipated social and economic needs and guided by a competent Board of Trustees who are highly qualified and established in their respective professions. FU has obtained recognition of Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) to run NINE academic programs viz. in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), LLB (Hon’s), LLB (Pass), BBA, MBA, B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (TE) and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (CE), B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
