An insightful workshop on Accreditation to Bangladesh Accreditation Council: Curriculum Development and Attainment was held on 09 December 2025.
The session, organized by the Department of Business and Technology Management, featured Prof. Dr. Abdul Kadar Muhammad Masum, Professor & Director of IQAC, Southeast University, as the presenter. Prof. Masum shared his expertise on curriculum development and effective attainment strategies. The recent earthquakes on the 21st and 22nd of November have understandably left many of us feeling unsettled and anxious. During times like these, the most important thing is to remain calm and stay prepared for any potential aftershocks. While no one can predict exactly what may happen, panicking only increases fear and confusion.

Please remember to follow these essential safety guidelines during and after an earthquake. Check on yourselves, stay in touch with your loved ones, and stay connected with your family whenever possible. For any immediate assistance, do not hesitate to contact the national emergency hotline at 999.

We, the entire BTM Department, pray to the Almighty for His mercy and protection, and we sincerely hope that He keeps us all safe from this natural calamity.

We are delighted to announce the successful arrangement of the “Department of Business and Technology Management (BTM) Orientation Program 2025” for the newly admitted students of the 2024–2025 session.

After a long pause caused by unavoidable circumstances, the incoming batch eagerly awaited the beginning of their undergraduate journey. It was our great pleasure to finally welcome them and celebrate this meaningful milestone. The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by insightful speeches from our esteemed faculty members, who shared their wisdom and guidance with the new students.

The students were also introduced to the history of the BTM Department, along with the remarkable achievements of its alumni and current students. Additionally, Subeh Tarek, a proud BTM alumna from BTM'19 , graced the event and shared her inspiring journey and experiences as a BTM student.

We wholeheartedly welcome all newly admitted students to the BTM family and extend our best wishes for their academic and professional endeavors ahead

The Department of Business and Technology Management would like to Congratulate Sadia Haque from BTM'21 for becoming the 2nd Runners-up of Turkish Airlines presents Bizverse organized by Brac BizBee.
Her team "Oops We Tried" fought 3 rounds of hard battles and fought against a total of 435 teams to achieve this milestone. Her teammates are Niaz Rahman and Mohammed Taimum Ibne Sayed from CSE'21. We would like to wish all the best to all three of them for future works and endeavors.

We are pleased to share that BTM’20 student Nuzhat Islam Noumi , and her team The Pitchers have won the Golde Medal in the Tertiary Category and became 2nd Globally, and Maria Tabassum from BTM'21 and her team, Team BIKCHAIN, received the Silver Award in the Engineering Development Category at the International Blockchain Olympiad (IBCOL) 2025!
Team Pitcher's project "SafePass" was among 48 teams from 16 countries that participated in Tertiary Category this year. Team BIKCHAIN's project, “FullStop”, was among 71 teams from 33 countries that competed this year. The Olympiad Symposium took place on 31 October 2025 at the Swire Blueprint event space in Hong Kong, where project holders presented their innovations before an esteemed panel of judges from academia, government, and industry. Team The Pitchers included: Nuhat Noumi from BTM '20, Rohan Arpon from MPE'20, Md. Safayet Samir from MP'20, Ahamed Ankon from CSE'21, Shamsul Haq Shuvo from EEE'21, and Faheem Rahman from CSE'21. Team BIKCHAIN included: Maria Tabassum from BTM'21, Arfat Jami from MPE'21, Sakib Ahmed Shanto from CSE'21 who represented Team BIKCHAIN in Hong Kong, and Swarup Siddharth Mondol from BUET.

From BTM to the United Nations! We are delighted to celebrate the achievement of Maria Tabassum, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Business Technology and Management (BTM), Islamic University of Technology (IUT).

Maria represented Bangladesh at the UN ESCAP South Asian Regional Youth Voice Competition, where after three competitive evaluation rounds against teams from across world, her team emerged as the South Asian Champion.

Invited to the Global Final at the United Nations ESCAP Headquarters in Thailand,her team competed against exceptional PhD scholars, directors, and changemakers, and proudly secured the 3rd Prize globally.

We are extremely proud of Maria’s leadership and dedication in bringing international recognition to IUT and BTM.
