We are very glad and honored to share that Architect Taofique Utpal Sir, former Director of the Urban Development Directorate (UDD), visited the Urban Design Studio, GSTU on 15 November 2025. He generously shared his insightful knowledge and valuable professional experiences with the students. He also expressed his interest in learning about the students’ projects and their ideas.

We sincerely thank Sir for his time, guidance, and inspiring contributions.

The Urban Design Studio, Department of Architecture, Gopalganj Science and Technology University, is going to visit the Urban River Spaces, Jhenaidah on 24th september 2025 — a globally acclaimed project recognized with the Aga Khan Award (2022) and the UIA 2030 Award, as a part of their Architectural Field Survey Course.

We are excited to participate in a discussion session with Ar. Khandaker Hasibul Kabir and Ar. Suhailey Farzana, co-founders of Co.Creation.Architect, whose visionary work has transformed a neglected riverbank into a vibrant civic space through community-driven and sustainable design. This project demonstrates how simple, low-cost interventions can reconnect people with nature, revive cultural practices, and reshape collective urban life. For our students, it will provide valuable insights into designing inclusive public realms, integrating ecology with architecture, and rethinking the role of community participation — key lessons for their Urban Design Studio explorations.

It is with great pleasure that we share the participation of our department in IAB ARCHJAM 2025, Felicitation Night, organized by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh. The occasion was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Syed Muhammed Abul Faiz, Honorable Chairman of UGC, attended as the Chief Guest. Faculty member Architect Md. Irfan Hossain, together with two student delegates, took part in this prestigious event on behalf of the department.

The Department of Architecture, GSTU is pleased to announce a significant accomplishment by our students at ArchJAM 2025, organized by the Institute of Institute of Architects Bangladesh

We proudly recognize Team VANGUARD and Team TETRAHEDRON, led by Rifat Al Ebrahim and Sadiquzzaman Akash, for competing against 96 teams from 29 universities and over 1,000 students and architects. Team Vanguard secured 3rd place in the Architectural Quiz Competition. This achievement reflects the team’s dedication, intellectual rigor, and commitment to architectural excellence.

We extend our gratitude to the faculty members and mentors whose unwavering guidance and support have been instrumental in fostering academic and professional growth among our students.

Congratulations to the winning teams! May this achievement serve as an inspiration for future endeavors, contributing to the continued success of ArchGSTU.

We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of Team “US” from the Department of Architecture, GSTU, for their innovative concept “Cha-Biscuit” at the Idea Development International Competition organized by Claymire.

Among over 1,000 participants and 400 entries from around the globe, Team “US” showcased exceptional creativity and technical excellence, proudly securing a place as a finalist. Their project reflects not only their architectural brilliance but also the dedication and ingenuity that defines our university.

Hearty congratulations to Aotin Kumar Das and Deblina Kurchi Badhon (Session 2018–2019) for making GSTU shine on this prestigious international platform. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring!
