The students of Classes V and VI participated in an educational study tour to the Science and Technology Museum. During the visit, they had the privilege of attending the opening ceremony of the 47th Science and Technology Week 2026.
The program began with recitations from the holy scriptures of different religions, promoting the values of harmony and mutual respect. It was also mentioned that Science and Technology Week was first introduced in 1978 under the initiative of the then President Ziaur Rahman.
One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of three distinguished Bangladeshi scientists:
1. Dr. Abbas Uddin
2. Marzana Akter (Young Women for Biosecurity Fellow)
3. Dr. Tahmid Ahmed
They were honored for their outstanding contributions to science and technology.
The Director General of the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with the Chief Guest, Fakir Mahbub Anam, MP, representing the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, delivered inspiring speeches. They encouraged the students to develop scientific curiosity, innovation, and a passion for learning.

Overall, the study tour was a memorable experience that broadened the students' knowledge of science and technology and inspired them to pursue scientific learning in the future.

With heartfelt gratitude and deep respect, we bid farewell to Lt Col Md Anwarul Islam Khan (Retd), an esteemed educator, visionary leader, and dedicated Principal whose wisdom, integrity, and commitment have left an enduring mark on Milestone School and College, Mohammadpur Society Branch.

From his distinguished service in the Bangladesh Army Education Corps to his remarkable leadership in renowned educational institutions, Sir has inspired countless students, teachers, and colleagues through his unwavering dedication to excellence in education.

The farewell program was graciously organized by Brig Gen Sheikh Mohammad Mohiuddin, psc, PhD (Retd), Principal of the Society Branch, was honored by the presence of Prof. Md. Ashraf Hussein, Principal of the Nobodoy Branch, along with respected Headmaster , Director, Assistant Directors, Coordinators, Deputy Coordinators, teachers, staff members, and well-wishers.

As Lt Col Md Anwarul Islam Khan ( Retd)embarks on his new journey as Principal of Milestone School and College, Sector 7, we extend our sincerest appreciation for his invaluable contributions and wish him continued success, good health, and happiness in the years ahead.
