in different core of Textile Engineering with affiliation of Bangladesh University of Textiles in govern of Ministry of Textiles & Jute, Bangladesh. During the British colonial rule from 1911 to 1929, thirty three Peripatetic Weaving School was established in East Bangla to Textile Technician by offering Artisan level course of 6 months duration. which was established in 1918. In 1968 it was upgraded to DistrictWeaving School offering 2 years Certificate course in Textile Technology. But the Certificate course was not acceptable to the industry. In 1994 a 3 years Diploma course was introduced under Bangladesh Technical Education, which treated as a mile stone for the Textile Education. Duration of this course was extended to 4 years in 2001. In order to meet the challenge of increasing demand of new sophisticated & latest technology, Government decided to upgrade this institute to B. in Textile Engineering College in 2006 to offer B. in Textile Engineering Course affiliated by the Bangladesh Textiles University.
