NYU Economics Club- All-University The Economics Club was created to give students from all schools the opportunity to gain a greater k and world economy, and the economics of their fields.

The Economics Club was created to give students from all schools the opportunity to gain a greater knowledge of the U.S. The club also provides a forum whereby students have the opportunity to learn from experts about the impact of economics on our day-to-day lives. The group encourages the process of free-thinking and debate regarding current economic events, current economic policies and their effect on our respective communities.

This is a reminder of our upcoming event, this tomorrow, April 27th 2017, with our guest speaker Dr. Aleksandr V. Gevorkyan. Dr. Aleksandr V. Gevorkyan will discuss his latest editorial (Book) named Financial Deepening And Post-Crisis Development In Emerging Markets. About Dr. Aleksandr V. Gevorkyan:

Dr. Aleksandr V. Gevorkyan is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University in New York City. He is a Research Fellow at the Center for Global Business Stewardship and a Vincentian Research Fellow at the Vincentian Centre for Church and Society. Dr. Gevorkyan also serves as Economics Subject Matter Expert for the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See To the United Nations in New York. Additionally, Dr. Gevorkyan has worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Central Bank of Armenia. Dr. Gevorkyan’s extensive teaching and research experience covers themes in open economy macroeconomics, macroeconomic policy, economic development, international financial economics, labor migration, sovereign debt, commodities markets, and post-socialist transition economics. Dr. Gevorkyan is a co-editor (with Otaviano Canuto) of Financial Deepening and Post-Crisis Development in Emerging Markets (Palgrave MacMillan in 2016). He is also the author of Innovative Fiscal Policy and Economic Development in Transition Economies (Routledge, 2013 in paperback; 2011 in hardcover). He is also the editor and translator of How Did I Survive? Memoirs of Dr. Artavazd M. Minasyan (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2008).

We want to thank everyone who embraced the rain and came to the social today. For those who couldn't make it to the meeting, here an imporatant updates:

Survey Result:
The majority of the participants chose to transfer SPS Economics Club to be an All-Square Club. Thus, we need 200 signatures petition by TOMORROW in order to complete the process.

If you want to be a part of this process, please email [email protected]. Our e-board members are going to be on campus today until 8 pm and tomorrow from 11 am to 5 pm to meet those of you who are interested in helping.
