www.mscs-institutebd.blogspot.com The school is the oldest institution under Manda Upazila. The institution was established in 1910 as a primary school. But in 1938 it was converted into a high school. The in
stitution is recognized by Calcutta University. The then zamindar Ghatkoir resident Shyamchand Mahaday established the institution with the hope of spreading the light of education to the noble people of the area. SDO Yar Uddin Chowdhury came to visit the school in 1961 during the regular operation of the institution. The inspection report mentioned that the school is very good. But the established place of the school is not good at all. Because to enter the area, one has to cross many difficult roads. So in 1961 Bangladesh Police was transferred to Manda Police Station. The school was established at a place called Mor in Manda Thana. Then in 1971, the Pakistani invasion forces occupied the school, all the people of the area were afraid and could not do anything because the Pakistanis had guns and some other tools. The invading forces used the school as a camp. After a few days, the invading forces burnt all the furniture of the school along with many important documents, papers etc. At the present time, it is known that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman came to the playground of this school, he has declared his worth in this school's field as well. After the Great War of Liberation, the school was reopened. A few years later - in 1978 (when Ziaur Rahman was the President of Bangladesh) the school became Pilot High School and was named "Manda SC Pilot High School". After some more years it was known that the school would be government but it did not happen. Then in 2011, the school became a model school under the model scheme of the government and a model/academy building was established in the school. The model/academy building was fully established during the year 2011-12. After the construction of the academy building, the building was inaugurated by Mr. Imaz Uddin Pramanik, Minister of Jute and Textiles, Government of Bangladesh. There is a computer lab, 1 science lab, 1 library in the 3rd floor of the model/academy building. This school has a dedicated office building. There are 4 office rooms in the office building. There is also that building of 1961. The 1961 building has 10 classrooms. There is also technical building (9th and 10th class). There is also a semi-finished building. The school has many types of trees (flowers, fruits etc.). Every building of the school has electricity system. The school has a very large playground. The playground of the school is the 4th largest playground in Naogaon district. This school is JSC & SSC examination center. Every year cultural programs, scouts, annual sports competitions etc. are conducted in the school. From the year 2013-2014, the school was converted into a college. A college was established in the institution. Now the school imparts education from sixth to twelfth standard. And now the name of this institution is “Manda SC Model Pilot High School and College”. This school was first established in Manda upazila. It was established in 1910 but became a high school in 1938 so as per rules the year of establishment of the school is 1938. This institution is under the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Rajshahi. From that year 1910 or 1938, the school is standing tall and will continue to be so.

মান্দা এস,সি মডেল পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় এন্ড কলেজ” মান্দা উপজেলার সর্বপ্রথম প্রতিষ্ঠান । মান্দা উপজেলায় তখন এই বিদ্যালয় ছাড়া অন্য কোনো বিদ্যালয় ছিল না । বিদ্যালয়টি মান্দা উপজেলাধীন সবচেয়ে প্রাচীনতম প্রতিষ্ঠান । প্রতিষ্ঠানটি ১৯১০ সালে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় হিসেবে স্থাপিত হয় । কিন্তু ১৯৩৮ সালে উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে রূপান্তরিত হয় । প্রতিষ্ঠানটি কলিকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃক স্বীকৃতি প্রাপ্ত । তৎকালীন জমিদার ঘাটকৈর নিবাসী শ্যামচাঁদ মহাদয় অত্র এলাকার সাধ্রন জনগণের শিক্ষার আলো প্রসারের প্রত্যয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি স্থাপন করেছিলেন । নিয়মতান্ত্রিক অনুযায়ী প্রতিষ্ঠানটি চলাকালীন সময়ে ১৯৬১ সালে এস.ডি.ও ইয়ার উদ্দিন চৌধুরী বিদ্যালয়টি পরিদর্শন করার জন্য আগমন করেন । পরিদর্শন প্রতিবেদনে উল্লেখ করেন যে, বিদ্যালয়টি অনেক ভালো । কিন্তু বিদ্যালয়টির প্রতিষ্ঠিত জায়গা একেবারেই ভালো না । কারন এলাকাটিতে প্রবেশ করতে হলে অনেক দুর্গম পথ অতিক্রম করতে হয় । তাই ১৯৬১ সালে বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের মান্দা থানার পাশে স্থানান্তর করা হয় । বিদ্যালয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় মান্দা থানার মোড় নামক এক জায়গায় । এরপর ১৯৭১ সালে পাকিস্তানি হানাদার বাহিনীরা বিদ্যালয়টি দখল করে , এলাকার সকল জনগণ ভয়ে পেয়ে কিছু করতে পারেনি কারন পাকিস্তানিদের ছিল বন্দুক সহ আরও কিছু হাতিয়ার । হানাদার বাহিনীরা বিদ্যালয়টিকে ক্যাম্প হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে । কিছুদিন পর হানাদার বাহিনীরা বিদ্যালয়টির সকল আসবাব পত্র সহ অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নথি পত্র ,কাগজ ইত্যাদি জ্বালিয়ে ,পুড়িয়ে দেয় । বর্তমান সময়ে জানা যায় যে, এই বিদ্যালয়টির খেলার মাঠে এসেছিলেন বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান , তিনি এই বিদ্যালয়টির মাঠেও তার মূল্যবান ঘোষণা করে গেছেন । ।মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পর বিদ্যালয়টি আবারও চালু করা হয় । কিছু বছর পর- ১৯৭৮ সালে (যখন বাংলাদেশের প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়াউর রহমান) বিদ্যালয়টি পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় হিসেবে পরিণত হয় এবং এর নাম দেওয়া হয় “মান্দা এস,সি পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়” । আরও কিছু বছর পর জানা যায় যে, বিদ্যালয়টি সরকারী হবে কিন্তু হয়নি । এরপর ২০১১ সালে সরকারের মডেল প্রকল্পের আয়তায় বিদ্যালয়টি মডেল হিসেবে পরিণত হয় পায় এবং বিদ্যালয়টিতে একটি মডেল/একাডেমী ভবন প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় । ২০১১-১২ সালের মধ্যে সম্পূর্ণ প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় মডেল/একাডেমী ভবনটি । একাডেমী ভবন নির্মাণের পর ভবনটির উদ্বোধন করেন বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পাট ও বস্ত্র মন্ত্রী জনাব ইমাজ উদ্দিন প্রামানিক । মডেল/একাডেমী ভবনের ৩য় তালায় রয়েছে একটি কম্পিউটার ল্যাব , ১টি সায়েন্স ল্যাব , ১টি লাইব্রেরী । এই বিদ্যালয়টিতে রয়েছে একটি নির্দিষ্ট অফিস ভবন । অফিস ভবনে ৪টি অফিস কক্ষ রয়েছে । আরও রয়েছে ১৯৬১ সালের সেই ভবনটি । ১৯৬১ সালের ভবনটিতে রয়েছে ১০টি শ্রেণি কক্ষ । এছাড়াও রয়েছে কারিগরি ভবন (৯ম ও ১০ম শ্রেণি) । এছাড়াও রয়েছে একটি আধা পাকা ভবন । বিদ্যালয়টিতে রয়েছে অনেক ধরনের বৃক্ষ (ফুল,ফল ইত্যাদি)। বিদ্যালয়টির প্রত্যেক ভবনেই রয়েছে বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবস্থা । বিদ্যালয়টির রয়েছে একটি অনেক বড় খেলার মাঠ । বিদ্যালয়টির খেলার মাঠ নওগাঁ জেলার মধ্যে ৪র্থ তম বড় মাঠ । এই বিদ্যালয়টি জে,এস,সি ও এস,এস,সি (JSC & SSC) পরীক্ষার কেন্দ্র । বিদ্যালয়টিতে প্রতি বছরেই সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান , স্কাউট , বার্ষিক ক্রীড়া প্রতিযোগিতা সহ ইত্যাদি কর্মকাণ্ড করা হয় । ২০১৩-২০১৪ সাল থেকে বিদ্যালয়টি কলেজে রুপান্তর করা হয় । প্রতিষ্ঠানটিতে কলেজ স্থাপন করা হয় । এখন বিদ্যালয়টিতে ষÔ থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত শিক্ষা দান করা হয় । এবং বর্তমানে এই প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম “মান্দা এস,সি মডেল পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় এন্ড কলেজ” । মান্দা উপজেলার সর্বপ্রথম প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় এই বিদ্যালয় । এটি ১৯১০ সালে স্থাপিত হয়েছিল কিন্তু উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে পরিণত হয় ১৯৩৮ সালে তাই নিয়ম অনুযায়ী বিদ্যালয়টির স্থাপিত সাল ১৯৩৮ । মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ড, রাজশাহী এর অধীনে এই প্রতিষ্ঠানটি । সেই ১৯১০ অথবা ১৯৩৮ সাল থেকে বিদ্যালয়টি মাথা উচু করে আজও দাঁড়িয়ে আছে ও ভবিষ্যতেও থাকবে ।
* ইতিহাস : এই বিদ্যালয়টি প্রথমে নবগ্রাম ইউনিয়নে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল । তখন এই বিদ্যালয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠিত করার জন্য শ্যাম চাঁদ নামক এক ব্যক্তি তার কিছু জমি দান করেন । তখন ছিল ব্রিটিশ শাসন তাই তখন ভারত ও বাংলাদেশ একত্রিত ছিল। ১৯৩৫ সালে এই বিদ্যালয়টি ভারতের কলিকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে অনুমতি পায় (বিদ্যালয়টি পরিচালনা করার)। নবগ্রাম ইউনিয়নে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা ভালো ছিল না তাই বিদ্যালয়টি মান্দা ইউনিয়নে ১৯৩৮ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা হয় । তার পর ১৯৪৮ সালে এই বিদ্যালয়টির নাম রাখা হয় মান্দা শ্যাম চাঁদ উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় । বহু বছর পর আবারও নাম করন হয় তখন নাম হয়েছিল মান্দা এস,সি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় । *Education Board : মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ড, রাজশাহী ।
