::: Research Tour 2024/ গবেষণা সফর ২০২৪ [১]
… the one and, arguably, the first of its kind in the departments of English was a vision come true
Planned as experiential pedagogy, the 4-day “LECS Research Tour of Rajshahi” involved 18 students of the LECS (Literatures in English and Cultural Studies) stream of BA 4th Year (batch 49) and took us to several exciting places and people of Rajshahi University and Rajshahi as well as Natore …
The objectives were
* to develop inter-departmental interaction,
* to leverage experiential learning,
* to calibrate research methods by putting theories in practice,
* to explore library and other facilities for research that our country accommodates, and
* to make space for critical thinking

It was daring and draining … there were trains, buses, autos, rickshaws, walkings (on Friday, as my cellphone recorded, we walked more than 10 miles) … there were a couple of glitches and crores of achievements, a lot of talks and a lot of talks (especially during the train and bus journeys)
… there were anxieties and achievements, surliness and surprises, eatings and drinkings, drinkings and eatings … rising early from bed and going late to bed, midnight research discussions and afternoon musical fiesta …
… and, above all, the exquisite dedication to research activities that our Team 18 performed during the tour - they were awesome, almost 🔆
