Seminar on “Misinformation and Disinformation”

The Career & Skill Development Cell, Department of Pharmacy, Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), successfully assisted in organizing a seminar on “Misinformation and Disinformation” under the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Network Bangladesh (MILnetBd) Initiative.

The session focused on developing awareness about misinformation and disinformation, their impact on society and academic environments, and the importance of critical media and information literacy.

The seminar was presented by Md. Maruf Hossen, Member of MILnetBd, who highlighted the importance of verifying information, identifying misleading content, and using digital media responsibly.

The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Naznin Shahria, Head, Department of Pharmacy, and Md. Shihab Uddin Shohag, Assistant Professor and Convener, Career & Skill Development Cell.

✨ It was an insightful learning experience that encouraged students to think critically, verify information, and navigate the digital world responsibly.
