Young people with cancer are speaking up and researchers are listening. 💛

A new study led by the University of Calgary highlights the top research priorities identified by adolescents and young adults across Canada. One key issue? Delayed diagnosis, often because cancer is less expected in younger patients, leading to missed or late detection.

The priorities go beyond treatment—they include mental health, long-term impacts, access to care, and better support throughout the entire cancer journey.

This work is a powerful reminder: research should be guided by the voices and lived experiences of patients themselves.
