Aksel Rye Romem visit for the first time one of his host Rotary Clubs, The Rotary Club of Toronto.
The Rotary Club of Toronto welcome and very happy to have Aksel at the Club where they will look forward for his visits, to get involved with projects and community.

Carolina Rodrigues, a Rebound and former Rotary Youth Exchange Student District 7070 Year 2012 and sponsored by The Rotary Club of Bowmanville share with us her experience of her 1 year abroad in France with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

She also was a Rotaract District Representative in the Rotary Year 2018-19 sponsored by The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood.

We’ve arrived home safely after a great 1st Rotary Youth Exvhange Orientation for the Returning students of 2025/2026 and the Incoming Students ready to rock 2026/2027. Friendships forged, lessons learned and memories made!

Today was the day that we welcome to Aksel Rye Romme, a Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Denmark To study for 1 year sponsor by The Rotary Club of Toronto, The Rotary Club of Toronto East and The Rotary Club of Scarborough.

Aksel was welcome by Bill Empey, Mark McQuitty and Diego Ribeiro Galbiati from the Rotary Club of Toronto.

The host mom Kristine Laing welcomed Aksel at home with the Canadian and Danish flag.

Bill Empey also gave a gift to Aksel, a traditional indigenous medicine for smudging (sage and to***co) including a shell and to***co wrap. According to be Bill, Aksel “He will learn more about these traditions during his time here in Canada”.

Bill is part of the Honouring Indigenous People, as District Coordinator, Rotary District 7070 and part of the Indigenous Partnership Committee, Rotary Club of Toronto.

Yuna has arrived, Picton Rotarians Andy Janikowski and Rob Leek happy to welcome Yuna to Canada.

Yuna’s first meal after arriving was pizza of course. Digging in to two pizzas are Yuna, Rotarian Rob Leek and Pronica Janikowski
Andy.

Yuna is being host by Picton Rotary & Rotary Club of Wellington, Ontario.

The Rotary Club of Campbellford would like to congratulate Ana from Brazil, our inbound Rotary Youth Exchange Student in 2019-20. Ana has graduated from the 5 year program at University of Toledo Prudente Law School. Ana continues on her journey to be a Lawyer while working in the legal system in Brasil.
