Hi! My name is Swati Biswas and my pronouns are she/her. I am currently in my 3rd year at UofA studying BSc. Food Science and Nutrition and a minor is Marketing. Some of my hobbies are: journaling and going on long walks with my friends. I am looking forward to connecting with all of my fellow ALES students!

Hi! My name is Juniper and my pronouns are they/them. I’m in my third year studying Sustainable Agriculture Systems. I'm excited to connect with students and represent the interests of undergrads! Outside of school, I enjoy gardening and playing D&D with my pals. A fun fact about me is that I have a Flemish Giant rabbit named Jim! He's a real sweetheart.

Hi! My name is Megan, and I am in my fourth year of the Nutrition and Food Science General Program with a minor in Nutrition Communication & Education. I like oil painting with a cup of tea by my side. I love painting characters from movies, anime, or books and putting them on the wall so that I can have a colorful wall full of my favorite characters! Guess what? I traveled to twelve countries and painted the landmarks there on my picture album!
This year, I look forward to working with the team and helping create a community for ALES students that provides resources and connections with the rest of the campus. FAUnA had many amazing events before, but the pandemic added restrictions to its recent activities. I am excited to take it from here and work with other executives to enhance the reputation of FAUnA and the faculty of ALES and make sure that we are facilitating the communication between students and the faculty.

Hello :) My name is Agata Martin-Ozimek. I am in my second year of the Dietetics program, fourth-year overall at the university, having done my first two years in the general Nutrition and Food Science program. I’m super excited to get the word out about FAUNA through our social media platforms since they have been down this past year. I am also excited about establishing more of a community within ALES by helping to get students’ voices heard.

I love being physically active, so you can usually find me during the summer months hiking in the mountains and in the winter, at the gym or spinning at YEG cycle or huddled up inside under a blanket with my doggos and a good movie. I also love photography. Some fun facts about me: I lived in Colombia for 6 months when I was 10, I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and I have 3 doggos who can be very hectic at times but are also very sweet.

Hey there! I’m Chido Saunyama. I am currently in my third year of the Animal Health program, majoring in Food Animals. I’m really excited to be involved with FAUnA this year and I’m looking forward to organizing events for ALES students. Whether they are virtual or physical, these events will be awesome opportunities to connect with other students in ALES and make new friends!
I really enjoy baking, trying out new restaurants, and knitting. I’m genuinely considering adding flower arrangements to that list :) A fun fact about me is I love animals! We have six dogs and one cat back home.

Hey there! My name is Krysta and I’m in my third year of the Nutrition and Food Science General Program with a minor in Physical Activity! I will also be graduating with 2 certificates, International Learning & Community Service Learning!
I am very excited to be working with FAUnA this year. I am looking forward to creating a relationship with ALES students and increasing faculty involvement! Outside of school you can find me at Orange Theory, in choir rehearsal, doing art, or just hanging out with my cat. Her name is Spunky and she is an adorable monster:) A fun fact about me is I lived in Belgium for 3 months and I’m fluent in French.

Hi! I’m Tessa, I’m in my 4th and final year of Nutrition and Food Science with a Minor in Global Health with Certificates in Sustainability & International Learning.

I’m excited to provide accessible advocacy for ALES students and establish a strong foundation to maintain the ALES community between departments! Outside of school, you can find me at the gym or at YEG Cycle spin classes. A fun fact about myself is that when I was 8 years old, I won a silver medal at youth bowling provincials in Saskatchewan!
