Athabasca Tribal Council is excited to share that class is officially in session for our Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program!

On August 24, we welcomed ten students to the program with an opening ceremony at the Keyano College Suncor Energy Industrial Campus. We were honoured to have Elder Bernadette Dumais provide a blessing to begin the program in a good way.

We wish our students every success as they build new skills and take the next step toward their future careers.

Community Member Opportunity – Keyano College Research Ethics Board (REB)

Keyano College’s Research Ethics Board (REB) is seeking to appoint one community member for the 2026–2027 term. The REB plays an important role in ensuring the ethical conduct of research involving human participants at or affiliated with the College.

We are looking for a community member with an interest in ethical research practices who can contribute valuable perspectives to the review process.
