Meet Ruth Baah-Gyebi, Assistant Professor of Counselling and Spiritual Care! With over 26 years of clinical experience across the UK, Europe, Canada, and Africa, Ruth brings extensive clinical expertise in traumatology, couples counselling, and spiritual care to her role at MDC.

This Fall, she’s teaching “Basic Counselling Skills & Interventions” and “Professional Ethics & Jurisprudence,” helping students develop foundational counselling skills and deepen their understanding of ethical care.

McMaster Divinity College looked a little different in the 1950s, but as we prepare to welcome students back for a new fall semester, we’re taking a look at what MDC looked like 70 years ago!

For over 70 years, MDC has been committed to theological learning that equips students for ministry, academic excellence, and spiritual growth. As we look ahead to a new academic year, we’re excited to continue this work as we welcome our new incoming students this fall!

🍁 Fall Retreat 2026 is coming up!

Join us for this year’s Student, Staff, and Faculty Fall Retreat on Friday, September 11, from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at McMaster Divinity College.

This year’s theme is Diversity in the Body of Christ.
Retreat is a great opportunity to connect with the MDC community. There will be fun activities, a time of chapel, opportunities to discover what MDC has to offer, and free food!

We are excited to announce that our bookstore reopens September 14! Located right outside the Chapel, the bookstore is managed by Bernice Quek from READ ON Bookstore who provides MDC with textbooks and resources that you will need throughout the semester.
