Many post-secondary institutions recognize the first 6-8 weeks of the fall semester as the Red Zone - a timeframe when approximately 50% of sexualized assaults occur. First-year students are most at risk.
Throughout Sept. and Oct., Sexualized Violence Prevention & Response will provide information and resources both online and on campus.
Sexualized violence is any sexual act or acts targeting an individual’s sexuality, gender identity, or gender expression without the individual’s consent; this includes committed, threatened, or attempted acts of harassment, assault, stealthing, sharing images, and stalking.
