The BC NEIHR offers several scholarship and fellowship programs to support Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) graduate students studying at post-secondary institutions in British Columbia (BC). These funding opportunities are designed to strengthen research skills, support academic training and achievement, foster partnerships with Indigenous communities, collectives, and organizations, and provide financial assistance at different stages of graduate study, including the final stages of thesis or dissertation completion. The BC NEIHR launches these funding opportunities annually. Please see the breakdown of these scholarships below:
1. BC NEIHR Master’s Scholarship (one-year, non-renewable) is valued at $17,500, with up to seven (7) scholarships available. Please visit our website for more information on eligibility: Master’s Scholarship Overview & Instructions

📢 Attention Indigenous Students – Last Call for Peer Mentor Applications!

Cplul’kw’ten: The Gathering Place is looking for Indigenous student mentors for the upcoming academic year.

Peer mentors help create a welcoming and supportive environment for Indigenous students at TRU. Mentors help keep our computer labs open in the evenings, providing a safe space where students can study, connect with others, access campus resources, and build community.

Mentors also assist with events, outreach activities, and student engagement initiatives throughout the year. Most importantly, they help students feel welcome, supported, and connected during their time at TRU.

This is a great opportunity to build your resume, develop leadership and communication skills, make connections across campus, and earn some money along the way.
