The BC NEIHR offers several scholarship and fellowship programs to support Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) graduate students studying at post-secondary institutions in British Columbia (BC). These funding opportunities are designed to strengthen research skills, support academic training and achievement, foster partnerships with Indigenous communities, collectives, and organizations, and provide financial assistance at different stages of graduate study, including the final stages of thesis or dissertation completion. The BC NEIHR launches these funding opportunities annually. Please see the breakdown of these scholarships below:
1. BC NEIHR Master’s Scholarship (one-year, non-renewable) is valued at $17,500, with up to seven (7) scholarships available. Please visit our website for more information on eligibility: Master’s Scholarship Overview & Instructions
