: Students from Conestoga’s mechanical engineering programs recently showcased innovative technical projects at the Mechanical Capstone Showcase.

From an automated coffee packaging system and custom LEGO kit sorter to a wood-pen fabrication system and marine hoisting vehicle, the projects demonstrated students’ skills in design, automation, problem-solving and collaboration.

: Students in the Woodworking Technology program recently showcased their capstone projects, demonstrating skills in design, material selection, production planning, precision woodworking and finishing techniques.

From a mid-century modern bar cart to custom furniture and a handcrafted poker table, the projects highlighted the talent and dedication of the next generation of woodworking professionals.

Conestoga is helping shine a spotlight on careers in clean energy.

TVO Kids’ Trading Skills recently visited Conestoga for an episode exploring the role of a Renewable Energies Technician. School of Engineering & Technology professor Paul Deol helped showcase how renewable energy systems such as solar and wind power are designed, installed and maintained, while highlighting the skills and career opportunities available in this growing field.

: Conestoga’s Talent Hub is helping Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) students and graduates build skills and confidence as they prepare for life after college.

Through workshops focused on workforce readiness and entrepreneurship, participants explored their strengths, developed interview and workplace communication skills, and learned about entrepreneurship as a potential career pathway.

Supported by RBC, the initiative builds on a pilot launched in 2025 and continues to create opportunities for students and graduates as they transition into the workforce and their communities.
