A new gift to King's will help more students access the support they need to pursue their education.

The $225,000 gift from the Denomy family will establish six annual continuing awards valued at $7,500 each beginning in Fall 2026, supporting students who may not otherwise have the financial or personal support to take that next step. The family has also committed $1 million through their estate plans to ensure the awards continue for generations to come.

The Denomy Family Awards reflect a belief in the power of education to change the direction of a person's life and the importance of having people behind them as they move forward.

At King's, that kind of support is central to who we are. It's financial assistance, encouragement from professors, a community where students are known, and people who believe in them as they build their future.

King's Connector brought together alumni, students, employees and friends for an evening of meaningful conversations, new connections and plenty of laughter and reminiscing.

It served as a powerful reminder that the King's community does not end at graduation. The connections, experiences and relationships formed at King's continue to bring people together long after their time on campus.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night so special.

King's alumni are leading the conversation and creating space for others to lead alongside them.

On May 21, Dr. Rob Ventresca will join local leaders as a featured panellist at "A Seat at the Table: The Future-Ready Leader," hosted by The Human Resources Business Group, led by President and owner Amanda Veitch, BA'13. The event will also be moderated by fellow King's alumna Erika Oakes, BA'07, Alumni Board member and Alumni Women's Leadership CIRCLE member.

This talented group of King's alumni is bringing community leaders together for a candid discussion on what it takes to lead in today's environment, from navigating pressure and influencing decisions to leading people and performance when the stakes are high.

This is what the King's community looks like beyond the classroom: alumni creating opportunities, fostering meaningful dialogue, and making an impact across our region. We're proud to see our alumni leading the way.

Join us on May 21 and register today at: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/a-seat-at-the-table-the-future-ready-leader-tickets-1986802941080

Alumni and friends came together at Megalomaniac Winery to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate what it means to be part of King’s.

The beautiful setting created space to share memories and spark new conversations about the “crowning moments” that shape us, stay with us, and continue to connect us long after graduation.

Together, we also marked an exciting new chapter for King’s as we welcomed Dr. Robert Ventresca as our 10th President. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re grateful to be part of such a strong and connected community.
