This Black History Month, we want to celebrate the achievements of John Chavis, the first recorded Black student to attend college in 1799. Although the records of his graduation are lost to time, his bravery in pursuing higher education serves as an inspiration to us all.

If you are an Oulton College International student and plan to immigrate to Canada, you can attend the International Student Services' English Test Preparation Program.

This program is designed for non-native English speakers to improve the four skills necessary to pass the General English Language Exams (CELPIP and IELTS) for immigration purposes.

We are offering CELPIP/IELTS Listening, Writing and Reading sessions at Flanders campus every Tuesday evening through December starting at 4:45pm. There will be additional lunch sessions twice a week at both campuses focusing on speaking, to offer practical guidance to ace the Speaking tasks found in the Speaking part of the CELPIP/IELTS exams.

Sessions will continue in the New Year when school starts back up after the holidays!
