En Route! - Smart and Electric Transportation Event – 2022 Edition

This free event will be held on October 26, 2022 at the Montreal Science Centre. McGill's Faculty of Engineering (ECC) will be attending along with the FSAE Team, we look forward to seeing you there!

Here are some activities that will take place during the day:
· Discussion panels, exhibitors and vehicle trials;
· Speakers from industry who are experts in the sector;
· Employers (750+ offers!) that will make you discover new technologies and jobs;
· Demonstrations of new technologies developed by partner companies;
· A networking happy hour presented by BRP;
· Paid Micro-internships!!!

If you are eager to get involved now that covid restrictions will not impede the great events we have planned foe the upcoming school year and want to be part of our executive team, apply on the google form below! To give you a taste of what our committee does, we are the student branch of the WORLDWIDE 🌎 organization formally known as the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. We plan to organize workshops including arduino, aws, and more, as well as company visits, and plenty more 🤩

REMINDER!! Registration for IEEEXtreme is still open to undergrad and grad students who want to engage in a GLOBAL 🌎 programming competition.

Not only is this a great opportunity to get involved, it also gives you the chance to hone your programming skills 💻 while representing McGill internationally 🏫 (and who can forget the cool prizes 😉 ).

The competition will take place on October 23rd and will span 24 hours (0:00 UTC - 23:59 UTC) where teams of 3 will compete against over 2000 teams from over 40 countries.

If you are as EXCITED as we are, all you need to register is an IEEE account. To create an IEEE account or to register for the competition, the attached link will bring you to the IEEEXtreme website where you can do both! If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact your IEEE McGill Student Branch Executive team at [email protected]. Hope to see you all there!

As a global competition, IEEEXtreme is always virtual. Typically, students would compete with their team and their proctor in the same location, in most cases at their local Student Branch. This year, the IEEEXtreme committee will allow the proctored teams to compete using online
