The applications are now officially open for the Union United National Black Youth Award (UUNBYA) — a national initiative recognizing and celebrating Black youth ages 15–24 across Canada whose work and contributions are grounded in anti-racism, social justice, and human rights.
This award honours young people whose work is grounded in anti-racism, social justice, and human rights, and who are demonstrating leadership, innovation, resilience, and meaningful impact in their schools and communities through the following areas:
Community leadership
Advocacy and social justice
Arts and culture
Entrepreneurship
Education and mentorship
🏆 Award Details:
Each year, one outstanding recipient will be selected to receive a $5,000 award, awarded annually over a four-year period. A different recipient will be recognized each year for their leadership, impact, and community contributions.
