The applications are now officially open for the Union United National Black Youth Award (UUNBYA) — a national initiative recognizing and celebrating Black youth ages 15–24 across Canada whose work and contributions are grounded in anti-racism, social justice, and human rights.

This award honours young people whose work is grounded in anti-racism, social justice, and human rights, and who are demonstrating leadership, innovation, resilience, and meaningful impact in their schools and communities through the following areas:

Community leadership
Advocacy and social justice
Arts and culture
Entrepreneurship
Education and mentorship
🏆 Award Details:
Each year, one outstanding recipient will be selected to receive a $5,000 award, awarded annually over a four-year period. A different recipient will be recognized each year for their leadership, impact, and community contributions.

Memorial Lecture in Tribute to Damba Lkhagvasuren

On June 6, Paul Gomme (CIRANO, Concordia university), Jorgen Hansen (CIRANO, Concordia University), Tatyana Koreshkova (CIRANO, Concordia University) and Christian Sigouin (Concordia University ) are organizing a lecture in tribute to Damba Lkhagvasuren, who was a member of the Department of Economics at Concordia University.

This lecture will highlight Damba Lkhagvasuren's many contributions to economics, in particular his influential work in labour macroeconomics.
