The PSSA invites you to the official End of the Year Gala, taking place on May 15th from 9pm to 1am.

Step into the glamour of Old Hollywood for a night of elegance, celebration, and unforgettable memories.

Location:
780 Av. Brewster, RC-015, Montreal, QC.

Your ticket includes:
- Open bar
- Food service featuring 5 canapés and dessert
- Vegan and vegetarian options available

Canapés will be served around 10:30pm, with dessert served later in the evening.

All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will be donated to charitable organizations.

Bill 9 is not about “laïcité.” It is about control, exclusion, and discrimination.

This law restricts the ability of students to pray, pushes people out of entire professions for wearing religious symbols, and normalizes the idea that some communities deserve fewer rights than others.

When a government tells people they must hide their identity to study, work, or exist in public space, that is not neutrality. That is systemic discrimination.
This is happening here, in Quebec.

A petition is currently circulating against Bill 9.

Cette loi restreint la capacité des étudiants à prier, pousse les gens hors de professions entières pour le port de symboles religieux et normalise l’idée que certaines communautés méritent moins de droits que d’autres.

Featuring voices at the forefront of the decolonial movement, we move beyond the immediate to look toward the horizon of return.

Resistance is an analytical act of defiance that thrives wherever the refusal to be erased is present. While borders are weaponized to fragment the movement, the fight for Palestine exists as an unbroken chain of solidarity stretching from the global south to the student intifada here in Montreal.

Days before the event, Rima Hassan was refused entry into Canada after political pressure from CIJA and the Zionist lobby.

This is following threats to the PSSA and student organizers on campus for organizing this critical conference. We will not sucumb to intimidation and censorship. This is a direct attack on the Palestine movement.

We will not be silenced: Rima Hassan will still join remotely. The conversation will still happen. The fundraiser for Gaza will still happen.

No amount of intimidation, censorship, or political pressure will stop us from organizing for a liberated Palestine.
