RBC Funds Genocide - Join us on Saturday, April 6, 12:30pm, Place Ville Marie

Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chief Na’Moks, Wet’suwet’en Land Defender Eve Saint, Tsleil-Waututh Land Defender Cedar George-Parker, and Palestinian Youth Movement Organizer Sarah Shamy issued a call to take action right before RBC’s Annual General Meeting. It is critical to keep up the pressure on RBC so that they cannot ignore the demands of Indigenous Land Defenders. A growing, united, cross-country movement against RBC is CEO Dave McKay’s worst nightmare! We need you to be part of this movement - RSVP to the Tiohtià:ke action on the map today!

RBC’s investments in the Coastal GasLink pipeline violate Wet’suwet’en rights and have led to militarized RCMP violence and a multiyear campaign of surveillance, harassment, and brutality. RBC owns 8% of shares in TC Energy, the company building CGL.

RBC’s investments in weapons and surveillance advance the genocide in Palestine, where more than 30,000 people, including 10,000 children, have been killed since October ‘23. RBC owns shares in General Dynamics and Palantir, which sell bombs, fighter jets, and AI surveillance technology to Israel.

In Tiohtià:ke, the Kanien’kehà:ka Kahnistensera are leading an archaeological investigation at a McGill University-owned site where there are believed to be buried remains of Indigenous children who were subjected to MK-Ultra and medical experimentation. McGill has employed every stalling tactic at its disposal in order to prevent these children from being returned home. McGill’s involvement with MK-Ultra and their ongoing military R&D activities violate the Kaianerehkó:wa (the Great Law of Peace).

RBC is closely tied to McGill University: Thierry Vandal, a current board member of both RBC and TC Energy, is a former board member of McGill; RBC holds a majority share in the company managing McGill’s pension fund; and RBC enjoys an exclusive presence on McGill campus.

Stand in Solidarity with Indigenous Land Defenders Resisting Canada’s Largest Corporation! Join us on Saturday, April 6 for a national day of action!

We are happy to invite you to a community Townhall Meeting with the Kanien’kehá:ka Kahnistensera (Mohawk Mothers) and cultural monitors this Tuesday, March 26th from 1-3pm in Peterson Hall and via Zoom!

We urge you to attend to learn more about the Mothers’ ongoing legal battle to ensure a proper archaeological investigation into unmarked graves of Indigenous children at the New Vic Site is conducted.

Come to listen, discuss, and ask questions to help bridge the gap between the Mohawk Mothers and McGill students and community members.

We hope to see you there!
