📚 Sajani Karunaweera (MEd ’23) discovered her passion for education through a combination of personal experience and community work. Reflecting on the barriers she encountered as a student, and later volunteering with students at risk, she became committed to making learning more accessible. Her research now focuses on creating inclusive educational environments where all learners can succeed.
💬 “As AI becomes increasingly embedded in education as well as our day-to-day lives, understanding how it’s being used in spaces like adult high schools, which are, by design, committed to access and equity, becomes an imperative of its own,” she explains.
