Woodsworth College

Woodsworth College Welcome to the official page of Woodsworth College at the University of Toronto. The Residence is an exciting new addition to the College.

The majority of Woodsworth’s students study full-time and are admitted directly from high school. However, Woodsworth’s place is unique amongst the colleges at the University of Toronto in that many of its students are part-time and the college remains committed to serving their needs. All of its students have full access to the courses and programs offered at the Faculty of Arts & Science. In 200

4 Woodsworth College was proud to open its very own Residence at 321 Bloor Street West. The building, designed by architects alliance, is an imposing glass structure at the corner of Bloor and St. George Streets and offers 371 student spaces in an apartment style setting. In addition to being a locus of student life, Woodsworth is the sponsor of a variety of academic programs consisting of two undergraduate programs, Criminology and Employment Relations; three first-year seminar courses; Certificate programs in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Human Resources Management; Teaching in Higher Education; Summer Abroad Programs; and the Visiting Students Program. Woodsworth is also the home of a major access program, the Millie Rotman Shime Academic Bridging Program. Approximately 600 students take advantage of this program annually. It enables mature students who are at least 20 years of age and who have been away from formal education to pursue degree studies at the University of Toronto upon successful completion of the program.

Graduating today as a member of U of T’s Woodsworth College with a major in psychology, Robert-Tahiri is determined to support children who have experienced adversity, helping them build resilience and coping skills using a perhaps unexpected tool: improv comedy.

Today is UofT Giving Day!

Voke Ewhrudjakpor is Woodsworth College’s UofT Giving Day ambassador. As a scholarship recipient and student leader, Voke has witnessed — and experienced — how every contribution opens doors and empowers students like her to reach for their dreams.

This year, our featured Giving Day fund is the Woodsworth College Expansion and Renovation fund. The New Academic Building project is underway, and, when completed, there will be many inviting spaces for studying and socializing that will tie our Woodsworth community closer together and enhance the experience for students and other members of the Woodsworth community.

Until midnight EDT on March 26, 2025, every dollar you donate to Woodsworth’s featured fund, up to $1,000, will be matched by both U of T and Woodsworth, while matching funds last.
