The Marketing Students' Society (MSS) at York University is a non-profit, student-run organization which aims to be the most valuable resource for students interested in the Marketing industry through the collaboration of our members, the University’s Career Development office, and other entities (recruiters, faculty, alumni, and speakers). We are currently experiencing an economic period in which
the responsibilities required from students surpass their capabilities in the professional environment once they have graduated from College or University. Furthermore, previous experience is required in their desired career field as well as a slew of academic accomplishments which may seem unattainable at times. The MSS’ mission is to help educate students on the various aspects of the Marketing industry, ease the transition between academic and professional activities as well as help connect our members with industry professionals through our industry events, workshops and social events. Complementary to our “business as usual” events, we are also looking to connect with other marketing clubs and/or associations throughout the GTA in the hope of growing our association as well as our partners’ in terms of awareness, recognition as premier institutions for students and primarily to build a network of future marketing professionals.
