The York University Robotics Society is having it's 2025 elections!

The nomination stage will take place from April 10th - 18th after which a one-week voting and campaigning period will commence ending voting on April 25th 11:59pm

The nomination form is on our discord!

**Note that only existing members can run for positions and vote in the YURS Elections**

The elected positions are:

* President
* Treasurer
* Rover Team Lead
* SumoBot Lead
* Vice President of Outreach & Events
* Vice President of Sponsorship & Fundraising
* Secretarial Director
* Communications Director
* Creative Director

The other roles such as accounting, logistics and web directors, sub-team and assistant leads are hired. Those applications will also go up in the coming weeks.

Hey everyone! Happy New Year!!! We hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays. We will be working hard to get our rover ready for the 3 competitions we want to attend, CIRC, URC, and ORR.

We will be starting the year off with an online general Rover Team Meeting on **THURSDAY 11th at 8PM on ZOOM**. The ZOOM link will be posted on discord the day before.

This meeting is open to all members and we hope to get more people involved. Following this meeting we will be having an in person meeting on the 14th followed by rover work. More details to be discussed at the Online meeting on the 11th.

Meet one of our biggest partners for our Industry Night Event! The Lassonde Engineering Society!!!

They play a huge role in making this event happen and will be joining us throughout the event! Make sure to say hi!

LES is known for the role they play in helping Lassonde students navigate their undergraduate degree as well as ensuring we have representation at various conferences and events! They also play a big role in organizing Weekzero, Pub Nights, Engineering Competitions and more!
