When we talk about green gems, emerald may be the first that comes to mind, but there are many others. Join us as we explore green gems—precious and semi-precious, idiochromatic, allochromatic and pseudochromatic, as well as terrestrial and extraterrestrial varieties. Finally, we’ll discuss a fascinating new shade of green that scientists claim to have discovered. 🔬💎
Our speaker, David Bellamy, is a retired science educator with 34 years of teaching experience, much of it at North Toronto Collegiate Institute, where he taught Biology, Earth & Space Science, and other sciences. A lifelong rock and mineral collector and avid traveller, David brings a wealth of scientific knowledge and firsthand experience exploring the natural world around the globe.
