The Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto offers full- and part-time opportunities for undergraduate and graduate studies and research across the field of statistics, including:

- theoretical and applied statistics
- data science
- probability
- actuarial science, and
- financial insurance

We offer opportunities for industry-based experience and research, as well as n

umerous mentorship opportunities. Graduate students can choose from projects spanning the entire field of statistical sciences, and beyond. What is DataFest@UofT?

DataFest@UofT is like a hackathon for undergraduate students, except the problem is a data science problem, rather than a programming problem. Teams of students get a dataset on the first day of the event, and work on the problem until the last day where they present their results.
