When a campus community is faced with discriminatory rhetoric that seeks to undermine one’s safety and dignity, what follows from the University must not be silence, but solidarity-driven action.
Join us in-person or online for an interactive group discussion with students, faculty members, and administrative representatives for a collaborative and productive discourse on the issue of anti-Asian racism at the University of Toronto. Through listening to insights from student and faculty members, as well as participating in small discussion groups with diverse staff, faculty and students, participants will have the opportunity to engage in an open discourse and voice their concerns. Centred around the core aim of creating a secure and productive platform of dialogue open to all, the two-hour event seeks to bring together concerned members of the UofT community to share individual testimonies, listen to the experiences of others, and ideate ways in which the University can better uphold its mandate to preserve a safe learning environment for all.
