Health & Wellness Peer Support Service Re-Launches
Peer Supporters will be providing drop-in support from 11 AM to 4 PM ET, Wednesday to Friday. Students don’t have to make an appointment, they simply have to go to the Peer Support Webpage and click the Zoom link during hours of operation to be connected with a Peer Supporter.

Peer Support is a non-clinical mental health intervention that and can precede, compliment, or succeed traditional counselling. Many students will benefit from Peer Support by gaining immediate emotional support, a tailored referral to on and off campus resources, or a connection to urgent and emergency resources when necessary. Here are some practical ways Peer Supporters can help:
• They can assist students in drafting a tough e-mail (for example, self-advocating for supports)
• They could role play difficult conversations with students, so they’re better prepared to have it
• They listen actively, take a strengths-based approach, and leave students with useful coping skills
• They can help explore tough questions like “Should I drop this course?” or “I’m having a tough time. Can you help?”

The BI is a two year, second entry Bachelor’s degree, meaning students are eligible after completing 10 FCEs.

The curriculum lies at the intersection of technology and social sciences/humanities. Coursework draws on design, critical information studies, and computer science. The curriculum consists of studio courses where students learn hands on technical skills (coding and UX) as well as lecture/seminar courses that focus on social critique.

Our application is currently open for September 2021 admission.

If you would like more information we are happy to host a smaller workshop or meet one-on-one.
