Here are Health & Wellness workshops for the month of March:
• Coping Skills: If you’re having trouble coping with the demands of university life—or even regular everyday situations—this workshop series will help you develop coping skills.
o Balanced Thinking: March 2, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
o Healthy Behaviours: March 9, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
o Emotion Regulation: March 16, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
o Balanced Living: March 23, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
• Mindful Eating: Join us for a mindful exploration of healthy eating and how our relationship with food can affect our mood. March 4, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
• Managing Exam & Test Anxiety: Mastering exams takes practice. You’ll develop skills associated with exam performance including preparation strategies, study techniques, and ways to manage anxiety during exam season. March 5, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
• Community Support Group: Join a series of peer-to-peer group support sessions. Students will have the chance to get to know and support each another, learn from experts on how to navigate everyday challenges, and connect with long-term support resources.
o Managing Motivation & Productivity: March 10, 12 - 1:30 p.m.
• Connections Coaching Workshop Series: This three-part workshop series is an interactive exploration of skills and strategies to feel more connected to others.
o Making Social Connections: March 10, 1:30 - 3 p.m.
• Breathe Well: Learn about the benefits of restorative breath, try new techniques for relaxation such as muscle tension reduction and learn new tips for taking time to pause and recharge. March 22, 1 - 2:30 p.m.
• Building Positive Mental Health – Healthy U Crew Edition: This peer-led workshop will help you learn strategies to promote and build positive mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. March 26, 12 – 1: 30pm.
• Sleep Well: Feeling too busy or stressed to get a good sleep? Come learn about what you can do to improve your sleep and feel more rested and refreshed. March 29, 1 - 2:30 p.m.
• Grief Support Sharing Circle: An informal mutual support group for students who have experienced a death, as well as students experiencing anticipatory grief. March 30, 3 - 5 p.m.
All workshop times listed are in EST (Eastern Standard Time) and will be taking place online on the Blackboard Collaborate platform (Exception: Grief Support Sharing Circle). All offerings are available to UTSC, UTM, and UTSG students unless indicated otherwise. Spaces are limited, so please register early to secure a spot.

Asynchronous Offerings:
• COVID-19 & Your Mental Health Video Series: Watch 20-minute videos to learn quick coping strategies that you can apply to day-to-day life for managing feelings of anxiety & uncertainty, low mood & sadness, and frustration & irritability. The Companion Guide attached to this email can be used for your reference.
• It takes just three steps to help – Identify, Assist, Refer (IAR): Learn steps to help students in distress and gain access to tailored, tri-campus university directories of services and supports in 30 minutes or less through this free online training module. Training is available to all campus members.
• Online Coping Skills Workshop Series: If you're having trouble coping with the demands of university life - or even regular everyday situations - this series of workshops can help you build the skills you need to thrive. For facilitated sessions, check out the coping skills series on CLNx.
• LivingWorks START: 90-minute, e-learning program that teaches learners to recognize when someone is thinking about su***de and steps to connect them to help. Currently available to student leaders at a reduced cost.
