Somewhere between “state-of-the-art” and “wait, we used that?” is a whole lot of University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry history.

As the faculty marks more than 150 years of dental education and innovation, this video looks back at the moments that shaped U of T Dentistry and the generations of alumni who helped move the profession forward.

Today, that legacy continues across 14 teaching clinics, where dental students and specialty residents provide supervised patient care at reduced fees.

He thought he was on his way to becoming a lawyer, but a detour to U of T’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy for grad school helped him find his passion – and within the first five years of getting his PhD, he landed a job he loves at a sustainability-related non-profit.
