The Augmented Education Programs are designed to help people with Mental Health or Addiction histories prepare for, find and maintain employment

Augmented Education at George Brown College has two programs for individuals with a history or Mental Health or Addiction. One is the Construction Craft Worker Foundations or CCWET program and the other is the Assistant Cook Extended Training or ACET program.

Students of the A106 Construction Craft Worker Foundations Program got a sneak peak at the new Limberlost Campus! 🦺

We were delighted to tour the incredible mass-timber building and learn about the construction, sustainability, and unique properties of the structure. 🚧

Special thank you Nerys Rau - Director of Design and Construction and Project Director for Limberlost Place - who took us on a detailed tour of the stunning facility! 🙏 We learned so much and are grateful for the opportunity to connect our students to the project.

Congratulations to our A110 students on another very successful Mental Health Conference Delegate Dinner! The Aug Ed Culinary Skills students executed the Southern BBQ menu perfectly, serving up slow cooked brisket, jalapeño cornbread, collard greens, roasted root vegetables and so much more deliciousness all in the name of mental health! Thank you to all the Mental Health Conference speakers and contributors for attending this wonderful evening, and thank you to the for your fabulous service!

The 11th Annual Food Court Social was a huge success!🌟

From the delicious food to the amazing company, every moment was unforgettable. A massive shoutout to the fantastic vendors, volunteers, and everyone who attended. A special, heartfelt thank you to - your support and enthusiasm made this event truly special. Thank you to the team for all their hard work and planning for this outstanding event. The Hot Sauce lab signals the start of a new year and new Culinary Skills cohort! 🎉

This week, the A110 students worked hard to make hundreds of bottles of delicious hot sauce for the 2024 Food Court Social happening on October 10th! 🌶️

The A110 class of 2025 marks our 20th Culinary Skills cohort! We are delighted to welcome this monumental cohort and excited to watch the students grow on their learning journeys. 🧑‍🍳
