Racial inequality knows no borders. We condemn the systemic racism that exists in Toronto, and we want to properly address this injustice that plagues Canada as well as the United States.
For this reason, the Tau Omega chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi is launching a fundraiser to support the CEE (Careers, Education, Empowerment) Centre for Young Black Professionals. Based in Toronto, CEE aims to offer opportunities for career and educational development, civic engagement, and personal discovery to black youth who are not currently working or studying. As students at the University of Toronto, we are extremely fortunate to be able to pursue higher education. That said, we hope to give everyone the opportunity for success. In doing so, we affirm that black lives really do matter, and we hope to see black youth, historically faced with adversity, able to not only survive but thrive in an equitable world.
