Muslim Studies at Emmanuel College

Muslim Studies at Emmanuel College The Muslim Studies Program stems from Emmanuel College's goal to foster dialogue between Muslims and Christians, and others within the larger community.

>>>Welcome to Emmanuel College

Founded in 1928 and associated with the United Church of Canada, Emmanuel College, is a constituent college of Victoria University in the University of Toronto. Part of the College's larger vision is to recognize that the concepts of justice, goodness and love are larger than any one particular religion or tradition can fully define. Emmanuel provides a place where

dialogue and discussion can thrive in the pursuit of theological inquiry, diversity and social justice.

>>>Connecting with Muslim Communities

Emmanuel College is both an educaiton and spiritual resource for Muslim Students and Muslim communities. Providing a climate of communication within which one can encounter different perspectives, the Muslim Studies Program strives to meet the changing needs of the growing Muslim population in Canada. The Muslim Studies Program is an initiative that stems from Emmanuel College's goal to foster dialogue between Muslims and Christians, and others within the larger community.

>>>What We Offer

Whether students are seeking enrichment, enlightenment or support, they will find resources within the programs of Emmanuel College to meet their needs. Through a variety of both degree and continuing education programs, Emmanuel embraces the concepts of education, leadership and community.

Yesterday, Dr. HyeRan Kim-Cragg was formally installed as Emmanuel College’s 14th Principal! The installation was a celebration that reflected our multi-religious institutional identity as a part of Victoria University in the University of Toronto, a member of the Toronto School of Theology and a denominational college of the United Church of Canada.

“Anyone who has met HyeRan Kim- Cragg has experienced her deep empathy and wisdom, and I believe that her style of theological teaching and learning will contribute to our collective healing journey,” said Rhonda McEwen, president and vice-chancellor of Victoria University at yesterday’s Installation ceremony.
