CsF at UofT

CsF at UofT The Ciência sem Fronteiras at the University of Toronto page aims to bring together CsF students for events, social activities, and workshops.

The Brazilian Government launched the Ciência sem Fronteiras (CsF) Program in 2012 to encourage Brazilian university students to study in foreign countries. In total, the funding agency hopes to award more than 100,000 scholarships over 4 years to talented undergraduate and graduate students in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The Program is a joint initiative of

Brazil's Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The University of Toronto is proud to host Brazilian students from the CsF program. The Centre for International Experience coordinates the program and is the primary contact for all CsF students. CsF students are admitted to one of three campuses at the University: St. George, Mississauga (UTM), or Scarborough (UTSC).

In the spirit of Wacky Wednesday, join me in exploring the ritual of the Ehtiopian Coffee Ceremony by taking participants to a cafe that will host the cermeony. Come join me and explore your senses!
The coffee ceremony is done when welcoming visitors. Once the green beans have been roasted and grinded, the grounds are brewed three times: the first round of coffee is called awel in Tigrinya, the second kale'i and the third bereka ('to be blessed'). The coffee ceremony may also include burning of various traditional incense such as frankincense or gum Arabic.
Bring $2.50 cash (exact change please) for the coffee and extra money if you want to eat at the cafe.
