Great to see so many familiar faces at our BC Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Alumni Pub Night at Mahoney’s Tavern in Vancouver on March 4th! 🍻

It was a fantastic evening reconnecting with fellow alumni, sharing stories, and celebrating the Notre Dame spirit here in BC. A special thank you to Darren and Yvette Shanahan for joining us during their visit — it meant a lot to have you there with our alumni community.

Events like this remind us how strong the Notre Dame network is, even far from Wilcox. We’re excited to be planning more alumni gatherings and events throughout the year, and we’d love to see even more of our alumni get involved.

2000s – Carrying the Legacy Forward
And the legacy continues. In the new millennium, Hounds competed at multiple Winter Olympics, carrying forward decades of pride and purpose. What began with heart in the 1960s, strengthened through excellence in the 80s, and cemented as tradition in the 90s now stands as a lasting Olympic legacy. Once a Hound - always part of something bigger.

Notre Dame BC Alumni!

Exciting news! The Senior Girls Volleyball team is heading to Vancouver from October 16-19 to compete at Crofton House High School. We’re reaching out to our amazing alumni for support with costs for activities, meals, and travel expenses.

If you'd like to contribute or come out and cheer for the team, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Ron Emerson. Let’s show our Notre Dame spirit! More details to come soon.

Super exciting news for the college!

Once again, we are excited to announce a new hockey coach to join our excellent Notre Dame team of coaches. Meet Istvan Orgovany, an assistant coach for Hounds Jr A, comes from Szèkesfehèrvàr, the biggest ice hockey town in Hungary. He graduated as a PE teacher in 2002, and after it started coaching ice hockey in his home town where he used to play as a junior player. He has worked with almost every age group from u8 till u20, and has taken part in the u14-u16 National Team Development program as a coach for years. In 2020, he started to work for the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation as a coach developer and a mentor coach, before going on to get international experience.
He also likes spending time with his wife and 10 year old daughter, as well as watersports, windsurfing, sailing, and winter sports like skiing, snowboarding. Istvan is very excited to be at Notre Dame, getting to know the famous Canadian way of hockey. Cheering all Hounds on as well as their coaches!
