University Canada West UCW is a business and technology-oriented institution in downtown Vancouver.

Degree programs include Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication and Associate of Arts. UCW also offers two preparatory programs – MBA Foundation and the University Access Program. UCW is a dynamic and growing institution defined by its close connections to the business community and a commitment to outstanding student services. UCW opened

its second campus at Vancouver House in October 2020 and currently has more than 4,000 students from more than 90 countries. UCW has also expanded its offerings to include several short courses and micro-credentials. UCW is recognized by, and operates under, the authority of the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training on the recommendation of the Degree Quality Assessment Board. The University’s programs are offered under the written consent of the Minister of Advanced Education having undergone a quality assessment process. The MBA and BCom programs have received ACBSP Global Business and NCMA accreditation.

Introducing UCW’s Health Policy Impact Lab

University Canada West is advancing applied research in healthcare through the new Health Policy Impact Lab, an interdisciplinary initiative focused on turning research into practical solutions for real-world challenges.

Led by Principal Investigator Dr. Vidhi Thakkar, the Lab brings together faculty researchers, students, healthcare professionals, policymakers and community partners to explore areas including healthcare policy, health economics, AI, digital health and healthcare leadership. With partnerships across healthcare, government and community organizations, the Lab is helping bridge the gap between research, policy and practice.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and all those whose loved ones remain missing or whose communities have been impacted by this disaster.

We know members of the UCW community may have family, friends and other connections in Nepal, the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and surrounding areas. Support is available to students, faculty and staff during this difficult time.
