❗REMINDER ❗

CAN-CWiC, the premiere Canadian computing conference for young women and non-binary students in technology, is being hosted at UWaterloo this November!

There are three options for attending this conference:
1. Through a WiCS sponsorship (Around 30-50 students selected through a random draw will have their registration paid for!)
2. As a volunteer (A small team of volunteers will help behind the scenes and receive free registration!)
3. Self-funded (Pay $125 - $150 to attend)

🚨 If you are interested in sponsorship or volunteering, you MUST complete the sponsorship application by next Sunday, September 13th!

If you are not selected for sponsorship, and you indicated an interest in volunteering through the form, you will be invited to complete a volunteer application in mid September.

CAN-CWiC is the annual Canadian Celebration of Women in Computing Conference! This year's event will take place at the University of Waterloo on November 20th and 21st. WiCS is offering sponsorships to a select number of applicants, allowing FREE access to the conference!

As well, consider applying to volunteer for free registration!

Participate in a pilot study exploring how learners engage with AI-enhanced virtual reality activities designed to develop entrepreneurial competencies such as creativity, problem-solving, initiative, and communication. The activities are accessed through a laptop or desktop computer, so no special equipment is needed. Choose to complete any selection (or all of) the 3 learning activities for an opportunity to earn a personalized certificate and contribute to ethical AI research.
