University of Manitoba Biomedical Engineering Design Team BMED is a club and competing team for undergraduate/graduate students at the University of Manitoba with an interest in the biomedical field.

The University of Manitoba’s Biomedical Engineering Society, UMBMES, exists to bring together students at the University of Manitoba interested in the biomedical field; specifically, to source and propagate knowledge pertaining to the biomedical field, and to apply this knowledge through biomedical oriented events, research, tours and tutorials. As a group UMBMES also aims to provide its members w

ith the following resources: a list of current biomedical course options, industry in Manitoba, labs both on and off campus and professors who are currently doing biomedical research at the University. UMBMES was founded in the Summer of 2012.

✨ Slayed the BMED lounge, knee rehabilitation sleeve down, London ON, we’re recovering ✨

This past weekend, our team competed in the True North Biomedical Competition for the very first time - and we’re incredibly excited to share that we placed 3rd overall! 🥉

A huge thank you to our amazing advisors, the Dean’s Office for helping coordinate all of our parts orders, our sponsors, and the organizing team for making this competition possible.
