My experience in the has been truly enriching, especially because of the incredible diversity of people I had the opportunity to meet. Being surrounded by peers from so many different countries allowed me to discover new cultures, perspectives, traditions, and ways of life that I may not have experienced otherwise.

One of my favourite parts of the program was the National Days activity, where each student had the opportunity to present their home country. I found this experience particularly meaningful because it went beyond simply learning about different countries; it gave us the chance to share our cultures with one another and celebrate what makes each of us unique. Through these presentations, I became genuinely curious about countries I had never considered before and developed an interest in learning more about their , , traditions, and people.

Overall, MEIG gave me much more than an academic or professional experience. It opened me up to the world, broadened my perspective, and inspired me to continue exploring different cultures and countries. The friendships, memories, and knowledge I gained from the programme are experiences I will carry with me for the future.

For me, MEIG is a lived negotiation between ideas, institutions, and reality. Being in at the heart of the multilateral system has made this tension visible every day, where global ambitions often meet political constraints and unequal capacities across countries. Coming from India and engaging with and policy through my experiences, I have become particularly aware of how global governance frameworks are interpreted and applied differently across contexts. Through lectures, practitioner interactions, and exposure to real-time debates, I have learned to move beyond theory and critically assess how decisions are shaped, negotiated, and implemented. The MEIG experience has not only deepened my understanding of global but also strengthened my motivation to contribute to more inclusive and effective international cooperation.

Coming from a background focused on and data analysis, MEIG was the bridge that connected my local perspective with a vision. It allowed me to deepen my understanding of international and economics while sharpening the tools I had already been developing turning data into insights and insights into policy-relevant action. What made MEIG particularly valuable for me was how closely it reflects the realities of work. Engaging with diverse perspectives, tackling complex global challenges, and constantly linking theory with practice prepared me for the kind of environment I had always aimed to work in. Today, as I move into the multilateral space, I can clearly see how MEIG shaped that path. It not only strengthened my technical and analytical skills but also gave me the confidence and perspective to contribute to global institutions with a clear sense of purpose.
