✨ Department of Architecture celebrated the creativity of its students once again. ✨

Following the successful realization of the exhibitions “Accidental Traces” (by Ada Dedeoglu) and “The Theory of Broken Glass” (by Kristina Galkina and Victoria Antemiuc), curated by Prof. Dr. Kokan Grchev, the students of the Department of Architecture gathered in a modest ceremonial moment to donate selected artworks to the department’s growing collective archive.
Emerging from two exhibitions grounded in themes of memory, fragmentation, imperfection, process, and the poetic beauty of the unfinished, the donated works now remain within the department as lasting traces of creative thought and artistic exploration.
This donation of artworks, attended by the students, the curator, Prof. Dr. Rafooneh M.Sani as Chair, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazife Ozay as Vice Chair of the Department of Architecture, transforms the department walls into more than a display surface; they become a living repository of ideas, emotions, experiments, and collective memory — a space where future generations of students may continue to leave behind their own traces, fragments, and voices.
✨At the Department of Architecture, supporting the artistic efforts of our talented students means far more than simply encouraging creativity. It represents a commitment to cultivating critical thought, cultural sensitivity, imagination, and intellectual freedom as essential values of architectural education. Through drawing, painting, experimentation, and artistic expression, students contribute to an atmosphere that transcends the classroom — enriching the department with dialogue, emotion, and vision.

As part of the ARCH 311 course, Principles of Conservation and Restoration, students explored both completed and ongoing restoration projects in the Walled City of Famagusta. During the visit, course instructor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ege Uluca Tümer shared valuable insights into the projects, highlighting the restoration processes, conservation principles, and challenges encountered throughout the works.

✨High Honor Ceremony (HHC) will take place on Thursday, April 30 at our faculty in A01 Alpay Özdural Hall.✨
The program will start at 10:30 with the opening of the painting exhibition featuring works from our students, Kristina Galkina and Viktoriya Antemyuc. The ceremony will follow at 11:00.

Important : Face to face registration is from 10.00-11.00.

Doga College (Famagusta) students visited the EMU Department of Architecture on April 15, 2026. Following an introductory presentation, they toured our studios and gained insight into architectural education. During the question and answer session, they explored their questions, and in the workshop activity, they modeled significant architectural works.

Doğu Akdeniz Doğa Koleji (Gazimağusa) öğrencileri, 15 Nisan 2026 tarihinde DAÜ Mimarlık Bölümü’nü ziyaret etti. Tanıtım sunumunun ardından stüdyolarımızı gezen öğrenciler, mimarlık eğitimini yakından tanıma fırsatı buldu. Soru-cevap oturumunda merak ettiklerini öğrenen öğrenciler, atölye çalışmasında ise önemli mimari eserleri modelleyerek keyifli ve öğretici bir deneyim yaşadı.

İzmir Söke Koleji öğrencileri, 14 Nisan 2026 tarihinde DAÜ Mimarlık Bölümü’nü ziyaret etti. Ziyaret kapsamında tanıtım sunumuna katılan öğrenciler, stüdyolarımızı gezerek mimarlık eğitimini yakından tanıma fırsatı buldu. Program, keyifli bir soru-cevap oturumu ile tamamlandı.
