For most people, swimming in a tank with sharks is the stuff of nightmares, but not for our intrepid year 5 Science student, Parsa Soltani!
Parsa, who is a qualified, Advanced Open Water diver, had the opportunity to swim in a tank of sharks including a large sand tiger shark in Dubai and described the experience as simultaneously exhilarating and terrifying.
Parsa is planning to study Dentistry in the future but loves Zoology so much he hopes to continue with a second degree in the subject!

Parsa, MedSci hopes to see you on a National Geographic documentary and wishes you many adventures in the future! 🦈🤿🐟🐠🐡

MedSci, the Med School's Science Department page, welcomes you to a new academic year!
And what a busy start we have had!
Lessons and practicals are in full swing (see photos) 🪴🌿🧪🧪 with surprise visits from alumni science students eager to share their news with their Science teachers. It was great to see Yianni Hadjikakou (Veterinary Science), Salahi Dogalcan (Dentistry) and Alex Theoklitou (Sports Science).
We wish them every success in their studies!🎉🎉
