Open Source is coming to Nicosia — and we're proud to host it.
The Cyprus Institute is partnering with OpenForum Europe to bring the OFE Capital Series to Cyprus for the first time — a high-level policy event connecting Brussels-level open- source discussions directly to our local ecosystem.
📅 16 June 2026 | 12:00–18:00 EEST
📍 The Cyprus Institute, Nicosia
This is the 8th instalment of the Capital Series — and it's landing at exactly the right moment. As Cyprus grows into a critical digital hub for the region, Capital Series Cyprus will put Nicosia at the centre of conversations shaping Europe's digital future.
What's on the agenda? The event brings together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and the open-source community to tackle the questions that matter most:
🔐 Digital sovereignty & Europe's strategic autonomy
🛡️ Cybersecurity, standards & the Cyber Resilience Act
🏛️ Open source in public services & government transformation
🤝 "Trust by Design" — the Swiss model for secure digital infrastructure
Whether you're a technologist, policymaker, researcher, or business leader — if Europe's digital future matters to you, this conversation is for you.
