Another academic year comes to a successful close, and we are incredibly proud of our Hospitality students for demonstrating outstanding excellence in knowledge, professional skills, and industry competencies throughout their Service Quality course.

As part of their hands-on learning experience, students collaborated with hospitality and tourism businesses in Cyprus and the region, conducting quality audits and developing professional audit reports that reflected both analytical thinking and practical industry understanding.

Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to service excellence truly showcase the future of the hospitality and tourism industry.

Special congratulations to all students for their hard work and achievements under the supervision of Yianna Orphanidou.

Our Hospitality Management students have successfully completed the Hospitality Simulation Course , a true capstone experience that brought together the knowledge, skills, and competencies developed throughout their years of study.

Working in teams, our students managed and operated three simulated hotels, handling every aspect of hotel operations and decision-making. From managing financial data and operational challenges to responding to unexpected problems and making strategic business decisions, they demonstrated professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Despite the challenges they faced, all three hotels were successfully managed profitably ,a remarkable achievement that reflects the students’ ability to apply theory into practice in a realistic hospitality environment.

This course tested their capacity to think critically, adapt quickly, and lead effectively in the dynamic world of hospitality management. Most importantly, it proved that our students are ready to take on the demands of the hospitality industry with confidence and competence.

Congratulations to all our students for their outstanding performance and dedication throughout this exciting journey!

The Anti-burnout Puzzle for Academics Erasmus+ project recently held two online workshops on 27 March and 31 March, hosted by the University of Nicosia and delivered by Professor Nuno Ferreira.

The sessions engaged academics from Cyprus, Slovakia, and Poland, with 12 participants in the first workshop and 7 participants in the second.

The project focuses on improving the psychophysical condition of academic teachers through tools and strategies for burnout prevention, resilience-building activities, institutional support materials, and international dissemination of results.

On October 22, the Anti-Burnout Project was proudly presented during the Block4SME Multiplier Event in Cyprus!
The event brought together participants from Belgium, Greece, and Serbia, with online contributions from Turkey, as well as academics, policy makers, and SME representatives.

💬 It was a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences, foster dialogue, and emphasize the importance of mental health and sustainability in today’s professional environment.
