AUB Mediterraneo’s Faculty of Business has earned EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation from EFMD Global, becoming the first business school in to receive this internationally recognized accreditation for business and management education.

This milestone comes as part of the American University of Beirut (AUB)'s wider EQUIS accreditation, which also includes the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at AUB in Beirut, and places AUB Mediterraneo’s Faculty of Business in , Cyprus, within a globally recognized network of business schools committed to the highest standards of academic quality, internationalization, corporate engagement, and continuous improvement.

Held by less than 2% of business schools worldwide, EQUIS accreditation further reinforces AUB Mediterraneo’s commitment to delivering high-quality, globally recognized business education in through an international, interdisciplinary, and future-oriented learning environment.

Last week, AUB Mediterraneo participated in the Doers Summit Limassol 2026 alongside the Talal and Madiha Zein AUB Innovation Park, joining conversations around , , , and the future of and .

The summit brought together entrepreneurs, startups, innovators, organizations, and industry leaders from and beyond, creating valuable opportunities for , , and new across the wider innovation ecosystem.

As part of the summit, Dr. Alain Daou, Dean of the Faculty of Business at AUB Mediterraneo, participated in the panel discussion “Who Builds the Future: Why Education Is Becoming Everyone’s Business,” contributing to conversations on the evolving role of education in preparing future-ready graduates and supporting innovation-driven societies and industries.

Dr. Christodoulou Pavlou, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, also took part in the panel “Knowledge as a prerequisite for success: the role of startup mentoring and educating angels,” sharing insights on the importance of mentorship, knowledge sharing, and support systems in helping startups and entrepreneurial ecosystems grow.

Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to engage with visitors, introduce AUB Mediterraneo and our wider ecosystem, and highlight the role universities can play in fostering innovation, interdisciplinary thinking, entrepreneurship, and real-world impact.

We are proud to share that the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at AUB and the Faculty of Business at AUB Mediterraneo have earned EQUIS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) — a mark of the highest international standards in business education.

This milestone makes the Faculty of Business at AUB Mediterraneo the first business school in to earn EQUIS accreditation.
