In cooperation with Anamet and Specion we would like to invite you to a workshop focused on the calorimetric and spectroscopic characterization of biomolecules. This is a great opportunity to hear numerous distinguished speakers presenting on isothermal titration calorimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, circular dichroism, and, last but not least, fluorescence spectroscopy.
The workshop will also include practical sessions using advanced instrumentation, with the possibility to measure your own samples after prior discussion.

The practical part will be carried out on the instruments PEAQ-DSC Automated (Malvern), PEAQ-ITC Automated (Malvern), Chirascan V100 (Applied Photophysics), Fluorolog QM and Duetta (HORIBA).

Last week was dedicated to the workshop “Methods for the Study of Biomolecular Interactions.” Not only members of CF BIC, but also invited speaker Sébastien Brûlé from the Institut Pasteur guided participants throughout the week during both the theoretical and practical parts of the workshop. Last lecture (but not least) given by Jitka Plucarova about the newly developed database for data deposition hopefully initiate a new trend in data handling.

In practical part AUC, ITC, BLI, and MST were tested hands-on by the participants themselves, and the results were subsequently compared during the data analysis session.

We want to thank to our participants for their enthusiasm and energy and also to our contributor National Centre for Biomolecular Research and ARBRE innitiative for support!

We are very happy to announce the newest addition to the CF BIC portfolio: the Mass Photometer TwoMP with the MassFluidix system.

Mass photometry is a cutting-edge method for analyzing molecules, enabling accurate mass measurements of single molecules in solution, in their native state, and without the need for labels.

The Fluidics add-on extends the sample concentration range from nanomolar to micromolar, allowing for applications such as the characterization of low-affinity interactions.

The long-term demonstration of LI-COR Odyssey M imaging system is available in CF BIC. The instrument fills the role of a Western blot imager, plate reader, slide scanner, fluorescence (488, 520, 685 and 785 nm) and luminescence imager. It is compatible with membranes, gels, plates and microscopy slides.
