First stop on our journey to Shenzhen ✈️

As part of our preparation for the FDI finals, we’ll be competing in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court. We’re excited to test our arguments, meet fellow teams, and learn along the way.

Tým FDI Moot Masarykovy univerzity má za sebou světové finále prestižní soutěže FDI International Arbitration Moot, které se letos konalo v Bostonu (USA). Účast ve finále pro nás byla mimořádným zážitkem – intenzivní práce, inspirativní prostředí a možnost poměřit naše schopnosti s nejlepšími týmy z celého světa.
Náš tým ve složení Alex Dobrovič, Oliver Dravecký, Petr Peštuka, Mirjam Luisa Mifková, Klára Čepičková a Tereza Heinrichová odvedl skvělou práci a s maximálním nasazením reprezentoval Masarykovu univerzitu.
Velké poděkování patří našim partnerům Dentons a Deloitte Legal za jejich neocenitelnou podporu během celé přípravy.
Poděkování patří také našim coachům Martinu Švecovi, Tereze Ševčíkové, Michalu Plškovi a Kateřině Kotarové za jejich vedení, čas, trpělivost a energii, kterou nám věnovali během celého procesu.

For the second year in a row, Terka Heinrichová represented the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno in the FDI Moot competition. She’s fascinated by international law in all its forms — from investment arbitration and global trade to the emerging field of space law 🚀.

Outside of law and moot courts, Terka enjoys quiet moments with her dog, loves to travel, read, and write, and is happiest when she’s creating something — whether that means baking, gardening, or working on a new project 🌱.

Mirjam Luisa Mifková is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Physics and a Master’s in Law at
Masaryk University in Brno. Her interests include technology, programming and investing. She is currently interning in financial law with a focus on cryptocurrencies, and also works as a legal technologist, focusing on improving legal workflows through automation.

Petr is a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, where he focuses primarily on international law. This year marks his first participation in the FDI Moot, and he is excited about the experience this prestigious international arbitration competition will bring. 🏛️

In his free time, Petr enjoys traveling and discovering new places – he is interested in the history of different cultures and regions. He likes spending time in nature, where he finds the peace and mental clarity he needs. Alex is a fourth-year student at Masaryk University. Over the past two years, he has participated in the FDI Moot Globals in India and Germany, and this year he serves as the team’s captain for the Boston Globals. In addition to mooting, he represented his faculty in the SVOČ competition with the topic “The UIOLI Principle as an Instrument for Strengthening Energy Security.”

In his free time, Alex has a passion for the arts - he enjoys reading (pretty much anything), writing (also pretty much anything), and watching films and TV series. He loves classical music, cooking, and good coffee. ☕🎶

Meet the Mooties ⚖️🌍

Klára is a third-year law student and FDI marks her first major international moot court competition. She previously competed in the Czech Human Rights Moot Court, where her team placed second in the finals. 🥈

She joined the FDI team for a new challenge and to strengthen her advocacy skills and knowledge of international law. Outside of mooting, she enjoys reading Kazuo Ishiguro, fantasy novels, and dancing dancehall. ✨

Meet the Mooties ⚖️🌍

Oliver is a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, with a long-standing interest in international and, in particular, international investment law. This year marks his second participation in the FDI Moot.

While his first involvement was mainly supportive, as he was spending a semester abroad on Erasmus in Bergen, he is now entering the competition with full commitment in the role of a pleader.

Outside of law, Oliver enjoys history, traveling, nature, and good food. In his free time, he loves exploring new places and cultures, which he feels perfectly complements his passion for international law.

Prague Pre-Moot

Our FDI Moot journey started in Prague, where we had the wonderful opportunity to plead at Kinstellar’s Prague Office! 🌟

We took part in three rounds of pleadings against teams from Athens, Warsaw, and Halle, gaining valuable insights and feedback from experienced arbitrators.

A huge thank you to for the invitation and excellent organization, and to all the organizers, coaches, and fellow participants who made this pre-moot an unforgettable experience. 🙏

Next stop: Boston and Globals! ⚖️✨
