VYBAVENÍ | Nové technologie na našem největším mikroskopu 💡

V čistých laboratořích Ceitec Nano research infrastructure na C E I T E C Vysoké učení technické v Brně se nachází zhruba čtyři metry vysoký transmisní elektronový mikroskop TITAN pro výzkum materiálů na atomární úrovni🔬

A právě toto vědecké zařízení se loni dočkalo dvou významných upgradů o dvě nejmodernější technologie – korektoru aberací elektromagnetických čoček pro skenovací transmisní elektronovou mikroskopii a spektrometru energiových ztrát elektronů vybaveného kamerami s dnes nejcitlivějšími senzory 🎯

Díky těmto upgradům se z TITANU stalo špičkové zařízení, které lze v dané konfiguraci najít jen v několika nejmodernějších laboratořích na světě 🚀

AWARDS | Michal Urbánek’s leadership in CEITEC Nano and CzechNanoLab recognised by Brno City 🚀

The City of Brno has recognized outstanding personalities for their contributions to public life and technical progress. Among the honorees is Michal Urbánek from C E I T E C Brno University of Technology, who was awarded for his remarkable contributions to the field of technical sciences 🏆

Since 2016, Dr. Urbánek has led the Ceitec Nano research infrastructure and, since 2020, has coordinated CzechNanoLab – the only facility of its kind in the Czech Republic. This unique infrastructure drives innovation across fields like nanoelectronics, neuroscience, and nanobiotechnology, while fostering collaboration between academia and industry ⚙️🔬

The cutting-edge Ceitec Nano research infrastructure provides open access to unique instruments for nanotechnology research. C E I T E C Brno University of Technology is proud to install state-of-the-art technologies, including the new microscope LVEM25E by Delong Instruments which was acquired at the end of last year 🚀

EVENT | CzechNanoLab to be modernised both in terms of equipment and software support and training 🚀

On October 31, 2024, over 100 users gathered at C E I T E C Brno University of Technology. The event brought together researchers, technicians, and students dedicated to advancing nano research and technology 🔬

Michal Urbánek, CzechNanoLab coordinator and the head of Ceitec Nano research infrastructure, highlighted the importance of keeping the infrastructure scientifically up-to-date, allowing for cutting-edge research: “In addition to providing modern equipment and expertise, we want to focus on modern approaches to teaching and training using our e-learning platform Moodle. We also want to design a new system of working with scientific data using newly developed lab journals and automatic storage of data in cloud repositories.” 👩🏽‍💻
